Bombay Sapphire say that their exemplary gin is infused with imagination. In reality it is infused with a delicious blend of juniper, lemon, coriander, cubeb berries, orris root, almonds, cassia bark, angelica, liquorice and grains of paradise (a peppery member of the ginger family). A harmoniously balanced gin with just the right amount of juniper, subtle earthy spices and a clean refreshing finish.
Bombay Sapphire gin is produced at an iconic distillery in rural Hampshire, near Basingstoke and Winchester.
Bombay Sapphire's heritage began in 1761 when distiller Thomas Dakin acquired a site in Warringon, UK, in order to distill gin. The family bought a still and adapted it to isolate the exotic botanicals from the neutral grain spirit, encapsulating the botanical flavours in the vapour; a distillation process now known as Vapour Infusion, which is still used by Bombay Sapphire today.
