At first Haig Club Single Grain Whisky may look like a huge aftershave bottle, but we're ok with that because it is, after all, rather fragrant. The nose hits you with subtle notes of spicy baked apple, a tinge of zesty lemon peel, toffee, sweet fudge, a touch of herbal, freshly-cut grass, and an exotic note of rosewater and cardamom. The palate is where this whisky comes alive, buttery sweet notes of toffee and vanilla with an underlying oakiness, followed by an indulgent finish of hazelnuts, cinnamon and ginger.
