PRODUCER: Maison Castel , is a story of good instincts & a great idea which took hold back in Castel’s early days, When the Castel brothers and sisters were ready to push back established boundaries. They were convinced it was possible to make accessible and good quality wines in France to every consumer profile, both in France and abroad.
WINEMAKING: Long, 4-5 week maceration in order to extract the finest expression from the grape varieties. Slow, traditional vinification to retain the character of the terroir and the grape variety. Blending is carried out with precision applying the typically French expertise with Côtes du Rhône wines.
TASTING NOTES: The Grenache red grape variety endows the wine with fruit, warmth and smoothness, while the Syrah confers spicy aromas, colour and a firmer structure. On the nose, aromas of wild strawberries, violets and yellow fruit are presents, with a very smooth and lovely structure with a supple finish.
