Vintage port is always a great choice and this 2004 edition from Warre's is no exception. Dark and rich with notes of liquorice, prune and mulberry, this will perfectly round off any winter meal.
With a south-eastern aspect, its steep terraces cascading from 440 metres altitude to the very edge of the picturesque Pinhão river at only 180 metres, Cavandinha is positioned in one of the most favourable situations in the demarcated Douro region. Forming an important part of Warre’s declared Vintage years, in the other good years a small quantity of the wine is set aside for bottling after two years in cask. This fruity and deep-coloured wine is now ready to broach but retains a significant maturing potential.
